Couples Therapy

Here at DWC, our therapists create a safe and nonjudgmental space for romantic partners to openly discuss their concerns and provide feedback to one another.  Our therapists provide education and support on implementing healthier patterns of communication based on the teachings of EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and Gottman Principles.  Our therapeutic approach aims to help each partner better understand and communicate their own internal needs, emotions, and reactions, thus leading to increased empathy and connection with their partner.   Couples therapy can address a range of issues, such as infidelity, breakdowns of trust, communication blocks, intimacy issues, navigating life changes, and cycles of trauma.  Couples counseling can help couples develop healthier patterns of interaction, foster a deeper interpersonal connection, build empathy, improve problem solving, and promote a more fulfilling relational experience.
