EMDR Therapy in Denver and Golden, CO
Heal old wounds. Change familiar patterns. Feel more like yourself.
Focused, personalized EMDR therapy in Denver, Golden, and online throughout Colorado.
When You're Ready for Something to Shift
You may understand why you feel the way you do and still find yourself caught in anxiety, self-criticism, overwhelm, or relationship patterns that won't seem to change.
At Denver Wellness Counseling, our team pairs advanced EMDR expertise with warm, individualized care. We get to what's underneath, so change shows up where it matters most: in your sleep, your work, your relationships, and the way you talk to yourself.
Perhaps therapy has helped you understand yourself, but certain reactions still feel beyond your control. Maybe you've tried EMDR before and are wondering whether a different approach could help.
You can recognize perfectionism
and still struggle to rest.
Know a relationship is safe
and still brace for rejection.
Understand your past
and still feel its impact in the present.
We take time to understand what has helped, what hasn't, and what you need now. Your previous work matters, and we build from it.
Many of our clients come to us after years of talk therapy, or after EMDR that never quite gained traction. We often hear, "This is the first thing that's really worked." That isn't because their earlier therapy failed. Often that work laid the foundation, and a focused, well-sequenced plan helped everything click.
This is the first thing that's really worked.
What We Mean by Elevated EMDR
Our clinicians are trained well beyond the basic EMDR protocol, and our practice is led by an EMDR trainer and EMDRIA Approved Consultant. In practice, that means:
A clear roadmap, early.
You'll know where we're headed and why.
The right starting point.
We begin where change is most likely to ripple outward.
Adjustments when it gets hard.
If processing gets stuck, we know how to adapt.
Therapy With a Finish Line (and an Open Door)
Our goal is to help you graduate: to reach the point where you no longer need regular sessions. Think of it like leaving the nest. You'll fly on your own, and you'll always know where home is. When life happens, you're welcome back for a check-in or a new course of work.

How Long Might Therapy Take?
Many clients notice meaningful symptom reduction within 3 to 6 months, then begin spacing sessions out as changes become more stable. Every story is different, and we'll be honest with you about what to expect from the start.
From easing perfectionism and anxiety to healing longstanding relationship wounds, everyone's path is different. Explore fictional examples of how treatment, symptom improvement, and session frequency might unfold.
